We had a great (if very brief) visit to Inverness, to the “Out of the Box” concert where David Chadwick was performing on nyckelharpa in Inverness Cathedral.
Marwyn enjoyed being back in the city she grew up in; we had a great room in the hotel (view at the top), and the concert was excellent.
Here are all the performers in the finale; they were all excellent.
After the concert we managed a very brief nyckelharpa get-together. Jean Cameron had brought hers to the concert, mine was in the car so I went to collect it, and we met up with David to have a tune or two.
We finished the evening by visiting friends – sadly the rain set in so we didn’t get to sit out in the balmy evening air!
