As usual, there was way too much media hype about this eclipse, which was some way off total in the UK. The weather looked as though it was going to be rubbish, so I didn’t make any preparations to see it. However, it began to clear a little so I quickly assembled a screen on a pair of binoculars, to project the image onto a card.
The images were not wonderful, but showed the eclipse close to maximum; there was also quite a bit of cloud visible, the Sun only appeared from time to time between the clouds.
