Out on a short ride this afternoon I was annoyed to find huge camper vans going over the little hill roads I like to cycle on, where normally there’s not much traffic. Then I saw the arrows on signs that made me think that some lunatic had set up a trail for campervans!
When I got back I looked up online to see what was going on. It’s the UK gravel bike championship, based in Gatehouse. So that’s OK then, sort of. They ought to recce on a bike rather than in campervans though!
There’s been a lot of rain here – the Fleet must have been up really high at the Rusko bridge, there are some huge bits of tree wrapped around the bridge piers.
