We had a couple of nights near Friedrichshafen before travelling to one more hotel in Germany on the journey north, in Bosen, then stayed another night in our usual place in the Netherlands, Noordwijk.

The hotel near Friedrichshafen had some wonderful local white wine!

The hotel in Bosen was comfortable with a nice balcony; John was delighted to find that it had a swimming pool (unexpected), and even better, a proper Swedish/Finnish sauna (complete with notices reminding guests to put some clothes on before going to the swimming pool 🙂 ).

The dessert was pretty good too.

On the balcony in the evening.

In a familiar haunt on the Noordwijk esplanade.

A lovely sunset in the evening.

Lots of people still on the beach.

Including us!

The hotel a little later.

The Moon and lights on windmills. Time for a last quick dip!

Rapa Nui at Zandvoort. A great place for lunch whilst waiting for the time to check in at the ferry terminal. Time for another quick dip!

It’s gone cloudy for the first time in weeks! Leaving Ijmuiden.

Sunny again as we approach Newcastle.

Newcastle harbour entrance.
