We had a family event before we had to set off for the ferry, but I did manage my final early morning swim first.

A somewhat misty day, and no-one else there for once.

It remained misty until we left; here’s the view from the boat, as it was starting to clear.

As we left the sun came out again. There are the cliffs of the Knab, with Lerwick behind.

The boat went via Orkney again, this time to pick up people who had been at the island games.

We arrived in Aberdeen in grey cloud again, but it was enlivened by the tall ships, still visiting.

It had obviously been a big event, as always.

Quite a fitting end to a great trip to Shetland; we have seen the tall ships in Lerwick on quite a few occasions.
