The pile dwelling museum in Unteruhldingen is wonderful. The remains of houses were discovered over 100 years ago, and they have been reconstructed; they were present from late stone age and well into the bronze age.

There are boardwalks connecting the various reconstructed houses.

It looks pretty authentic!

There’s rather more fancy decoration on the later reconstructions; they may even reach into the iron age.

The Friedrichshafen Zeppelin is a bit out of place!

Probably the latest buildings, by the shore.
