The evening’s imaging started with the Moon; since it was there, it’s easier to point at and also easier to use to focus the camera.

Moon surface

The big crater is Plato, in the Moon’s northern hemisphere. This image is from a 30s video, frames about 10ms exposure; the best 40% have been stacked to produce this image. It’s also been made monochrome, and sharpened a bit with an unsharp mask filter.
