After seeing the “Sauna at the Sea” in the twilight a few weeks ago, I though it would be lovely in the dark, and it was!

I went back at the last weekend of the season (for us) to enjoy the place again. It was just great, and I was lucky to have the company of a couple of really lovely people.

It’s beautifully laid out, with changing space (if you need it), storage (though that can be damp if it rains hard!), and most of all, the wonderful fairy lights!

I wouldn’t want to trek down to the (somewhat muddy) sea in the dark, but there’s an excellent cold shower, and cold tubs too which are worth a try. I think I prefer the shower on its own though.

The wood burning stoves are great, and as always the contrast between the heat and the cold water is just exhilarating. I will definitely be back next season!
