It was the annual Scottish Microwave Round Table event on Saturday (an amateur radio meeting); as usual some of us provided a bit of musical entertainment. Here’s the band! Self GM8OTI, Nadine Stah White MM0WNW and Ian White GM3SEK. The band was attenuated because Chris Bartram GW4DGU wasn’t there.
Here’s the video from the Microwave Band at Saturday’s GMRT. Self on nyckelharpa and fiddle, Nadine Stah White on autoharp and Ian White on melodeon. It’s a bit long (8 mins including introductions); “Julottan” is at 1m05s, “Little Sue” and “Far from Home” are at 4m55s. I always love playing with Nadine and Ian – and Chris Bartram, when he’s there – and often see Ian and Nadine in the Galloway sessions. We get about 15 or 20 minutes together before dinner at these events – so it’s less than perfectly rehearsed!
