We enjoyed a couple of great concerts the last two weekends – Baltic Crossing last Sunday (after the Northern Streams festival) and Väsen at a Queen’s Hall 40th anniversary concert last night.
Looking forward to listening to these. Baltic crossing were brilliant – we’ve never heard them live before. Väsen were truly on form, with some fabulous new tunes. They gave us a great set as the last part of the concert which was part of Tradfest, with Heidi Talbot presenting, along with Floriane Blanke (Celtic harp) and Inge Thomson.
There was a wee session afterwards, and I had taken the nyckelharpa along. Tradfest posted a video:
I had a chat with Olov Johansson as well (I had my first two formal nyckelharpa lessons with him) – he was happy to see another nyckelharpa!
