First proper Edinburgh cycle ride today – though the phone GPS stopped after 15 seconds (battery? pressed stop in the rucksack?) so I had to use http://gb.mapometer.com/ to work out the distance. Over 30km in 2 hours which is fine considering about half of it was by the canal – mostly paved but busy with pedestrians, dogs, runners (and the odd cyclist!). I avoided the unpaved part on the way back by using minor roads.
