A little visit to Lancashire included some family history visiting. I found that my old infant school was being demolished!
We moved into the area where some of my mother’s family came from; further north towards Leyland. This is Rufford Old Hall.
The Lancashire coastal plain is very flat!
I had not visited a little village called Croston before, but a whole lot of my ancestors were baptised, married and buried at this church.
It was lovely to see a wedding going on, just as had happened many times before in the past.
